Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Material Handler at our Winter Haven, FL location to perform material receiving, movement, and shipping duties within a pre-hanging/pre-finishing environment.

The role requires OSHA forklift certification and prior material handling experience in a production setting. You will help maintain inventory accuracy, support production areas, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling responsibilities in a production environment.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for inventory and movement tasks.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow forklift and warehouse guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Receive, audit, inspect, identify and store incoming material in proper locations.
• Maintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse areas.
• Update inventory in the system as materials are moved.
• Assist production areas when not moving materials.
• Ensure materials meet quality expectations.
• Notify supervisor of improvement opportunities.
• Support removal of pallets, trash and recycled materials.
• Clean parts and prepare items for painting.
• Load stretch-wrapped doors into shipping lanes and assist finishing lines.
• Load finished products onto trucks as directed by Production Manager.
