C-A-L Ranch Stores was founded in 1959 in Idaho Falls, ID, by Clinton, Allen, and L. Wayne Murphy. The family used their initials “C-A-L” to create their brand. Our first store, located in Idaho Falls, ID, was called C-A-L Ranch & Farm Supply. The store had less than 3,000 square feet and primarily sold tillage tools and hardware. Over 60+ years, C-A-L Ranch Stores has grown from a single store to a regional retailer with multiple stores in Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. Although it is no longer owned by the Murphys, it remains privately held, with current owners maintaining the same mission and values.

What You’ll Do:

As a sales associate in Animal Health, Apparel, Sporting Goods, or Hardlines, you will deliver legendary service to our customers and promote our wide range of products and brands. Our goal at C-A-L Ranch Stores is continual improvement in everything we do.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and determine their needs regarding merchandise.
• Display products, suggest suitable options, and highlight product features such as quality and utility.
• Keep shelves stocked, properly merchandised, tagged, and priced.
• Assist at the cash register or in other departments as needed.
• Promote and sell promotional items and our C-A-L Ranch credit card.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting work area.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Qualifications:

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly, with assistance for heavier items over 50 pounds, using tools like hand trucks and help from colleagues.
• Friendly and engaging interaction with customers.
• Ability to learn and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
