Job summary

nVent is seeking a Mfg Material Handler in Solon, OH to move and stock materials, support production, and ensure continuous material flow. You will pick, pack and deliver to the shipping area, restock supermarket lines and assist with the use of warehouse equipment.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, the ability to follow written instructions, and prior warehouse or light industrial experience. A strong safety mindset and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; warehouse/material handling experience preferred.
• Experience following work instructions.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Basic Math Skills.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Prior experience in a light industrial facility preferred.
• Capable of using tow motors, lift assist equipment and other warehouse equipment.
• Some visual verification and manual dexterity are required.
• Results-oriented and ability to learn the various material handling functions.

Responsibilities

• Move materials to and from work cells and manufacturing areas.
• Fill requisitions or requests for materials or other stock items and distribute to departments.
• Assist with preparation of material, labeling, unpacking, and preparing raw material per job.
• Assess component/material availability and alert department team leader to potential outages in production.
• Prepare finished goods for collection, packing and shipment.
• Read Inventory Control System inquiries or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed per cycle counts.
• May operate trucks, forklifts, cranes and other power industrial equipment to move materials with necessary certification.
