Job summary

Medical Device Company is seeking an Entry Level Material Handler for a 12-month contract in Sparks, MD. The role operates 1st shift, 10am–8pm, Monday to Thursday, with 40 hours per week.

Expect to work in cold refrigerator areas part of the shift and handle various material-handling equipment. The position requires a high school diploma, 0–1 year warehouse experience, and the ability to read and write in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year warehouse experience or related training.
• RF Scanner knowledge is helpful but not required.
• Obtains and/or maintains licenses/training/certifications, as needed.
• Basic training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics).
• Effective communication skills understood by coworkers and Supervisor.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and understand English and perform basic math.
• General computer skills for a metrics-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products within the plant, office or warehouse.
• May maintain records; follow basic tasks within SOPs and quality guidelines.
• Work under general to limited supervision and adhere to safety procedures.
• Assist with inventory and material handling tasks as required.

• Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse.
• May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method.
• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
• Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Works under general to limited supervision.

• Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
