Job summary

Cleveland Steel Container, a Streetsboro-based manufacturer, is seeking a Material Handler for loading/unloading trucks on 1st shift. Responsibilities include loading shipments, securing trailers, completing bills of lading, and daily forklift checks at our Streetsboro facility.

Shift Hours:

M-F 6:00am – 4:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Load trucks for daily shipment
• Secure loaded trailers
• Complete Bills of Lading
• Daily inspection of forklift and semi's
• All 4 season's daily outdoor procedure (lock/chock procedure)
• Copying documents
• Use of glad hand locks
• Time sensitive daily activities
• Unload inbound deliveries
• Move required stock throughout the plant as needed to maintain production.
• Load and unload trucks as necessary via forklift, hand jack, etc.
• Set up the pail line as required.
• Preventative maintenance requirements daily, weekly and monthly for all equipment.
• Ensure all proper housekeeping is completed for specific workstation and surrounding area of the shipping department.
• Ensure all safety requirements are maintained for the equipment and in the surrounding area.
• Maintain all required tools for successful performance of job duties.
• Understand and complete the quality procedures and verifications for this position.
• Responsible for correct labeling and accurate counts of material.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5 years forklift truck loading experience
