Job summary

Boon Edam Inc. in Lillington, NC is seeking a Material Handler to perform material handling and inventory control to ensure on-time, accurate product processing. This full-time role supports production with Kanban and stock management and requires collaboration with the team to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in material handling and inventory control.
• Forklift operator with certification.
• Experience with ERP/MRP operating systems.
• Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Email.
• Knowledge of shipping software.
• Able to lift 30 pounds.
• High School Diploma (Associates Degree/Certificate is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits and follow safety policies.
• Maintain Kanban process and inventory locations.
• Keep inventory locations organized and clean.
• Monitor overflow inventory and consume excess before ordering.
• Process purchase orders for outside processing and finishing.
• Load and unload trucks and process receiving documents.
• Attend daily meetings to support production line inventories.
• Inspect received items for defects.
• Maintain housekeeping and maintenance of equipment.
• Manage scrap and waste streams in a timely manner.
• Train less experienced employees in the area.
