Job summary

Schaeffler Battery Technology, LLC in Wooster, OH is seeking a dedicated material handler to support loading, unloading, packing and internal transports in our manufacturing environment.

You will operate with IT systems including SAP, lift heavy objects as needed, and follow strict safety guidelines. This on-site role includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities to grow with a global mobility tech leader.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Basic computer knowledge and MS Office skills.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Ability to regularly lift heavy objects.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.
  • At least one year of material handling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Execute loading and unloading of goods and manage related documentation.
  • Prepare deliveries of products and tours for drivers.
  • Deliver raw materials and goods to designated location in the plants.
  • Deconsolidate, repack, store, retrieve and execute internal transports.
  • Pick, pack and label different goods e.g. raw material, components, semi-finished-products, finished products, trading goods etc.
  • Track and overview products and transports in the IT system.
  • Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Execute loading and unloading of goods and manage the respective documentation.
  • Prepare deliveries of products and tours for drivers.
  • Deliver raw materials and goods to designated location in the plants.
  • Deconsolidate, re-pack, store, retrieve and execute internal transports.
  • Pick, pack and label different goods e.g. raw material, components, semi-finished-products, finished products, trading goods etc.
  • Track and overview products and transports in the IT system.
  • Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Your Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Basic computer knowledge and MS office skills
  • Good visual acuity
  • Ability to regularly lift heavy objects if required
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
  • At least one year of material handling experience

Preferred:

  • Multiple years of experience in logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with IT & SAP systems
  • Ability to operate transportation machinery
