Job summary

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG is hiring a Material Handler III for the Battery Plant on the 1st shift in Wooster, OH. The role focuses on material movement, documentation, and ensuring safe, efficient transports within the plant.

Key responsibilities include loading/unloading, packing, and maintaining accurate IT system records. The ideal candidate has 1+ year material handling experience, English fluency, and basic IT skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office are required.
• At least one year of material handling experience.
• Ability to regularly lift heavy objects if required.

Responsibilities

• Execute loading and unloading of goods and manage the respective documentation.
• Prepare deliveries of products and tours for drivers.
• Deliver raw materials and goods to designated location in the plants.
• Deconsolidate, re-pack, store, retrieve and execute internal transports.
• Pick, pack and label different goods such as raw material, components, semi-finished-products, finished products, trading goods, etc.
• Track and overview products and transports in the IT system.
• Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Execute loading and unloading of goods and manage the respective documentation.
• Prepare deliveries of products and tours for drivers.
• Deliver raw materials and goods to designated location in the plants.

Your Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Basic computer knowledge and MS office skills
• Ability to regularly lift heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship
• At least one year of material handling experience

Preferred:

• Multiple years of experience in logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with IT & SAP systems
• Ability to operate transportation machinery
