Job summary

Schaeffler Battery Technology, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to prepare machines, monitor production, and ensure quality in a fast-paced environment. You will set up tooling, verify parameters, and maintain adherence to procedures to minimize downtime.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating medium complex machinery, and following safety protocols. A high school diploma or GED is required, with English communication skills and the ability to lift medium-heavy objects.

Qualifications

  • Operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Able to lift medium-heavy objects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare machines for production by tooling and parametrization per work order.
  • Check production status and take action in case of deviations.
  • Operate machines and follow documented procedures.
  • Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts.
  • Support maintenance in repair and downtime prevention and machine inspection.
  • Follow safety rules and use PPE at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
  • Check production status within and in between each production sequence and taking action in case of deviations.
  • Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes and follow documented procedures and processes.
  • Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts and follow proper protocol.
  • Support maintenance in the repair, prevention of downtime and inspection of machines.
  • Follow all safety and production rules and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Your Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English.
  • Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good visual acuity.
  • Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.
Preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience of operating machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with power tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
