Responsibilities

Are you passionate about safety, quality, customer service and teamwork in a warehouse environment? At Hodell-Natco (HNI), we specialize in vendor managed services and warehousing and are looking for you!

Work in a high volume, fast-paced environment where you will work in our warehouse servicing customer orders, and as we continue to grow, we are looking for talent to grow with us that may include spending some time on the road working on-site directly with our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Support Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) in our warehouse and possibly in the field by providing exceptional service to our customers and designated sites by fulfilling predetermined inventory and product needs.

• Safely and efficiently pick/pack/assemble/ship orders for our customersas well as accurately stock incoming product.
• Perform shipping and receiving functions, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, quantities, and product accuracy against applicable documentation.
• Prepare products for shipment, including packaging, labeling, staging, and organizing orders for carrier pickup or delivery.
• Operate an RF Scanner to prioritize orders and ensure quality.
• Assist with loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments as needed.
• Execute flawless operations in partnership with our sales and support teams.
• Support warehouse projects as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace as well as maintenance assigned equipment - proactively record/report any issues or identify possible future concerns to warehouse leaders.
• Consistently walk, move about the warehouse, lift 50 lbs in a busy warehouse environment that is subject to outdoor temperaturesand weather conditions
• Learn and demonstrate product knowledge while understanding customer needs and expectations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and a positive work environment.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Previous warehouse experience, including shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, inventory, or related material handling functions.
• Knowledge of basic shipping and receiving processes, including verifying product, quantities, packing slips, and shipment documentation.
• Able to work in a Team environment understanding that our customers come first.
• Reliable, dependable and timely.
• Professional customer service, communication and listening skills.
• Aptitude to work with industrial/engineered parts such as fasteners, hardware and special parts.
• Demonstrated application of general math skills; mechanically minded.
• General understanding of production lines, warehouse operations and delivery schedules.
• Proactive organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for accuracy, quality and continuous improvement.
• Forklift experience with ability to operate forklifts, pickers and reach trucks - comfortable working at moderate heights, which we are willing to train for a future opportunity.
