Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Material Handler II for our Chesterfield, VA facility. This onsite role focuses on loading and unloading materials and maintaining smooth material flow to support manufacturing and distribution operations.

You will operate forklifts and other handling equipment, participate in cycle counting, and help ensure inventory accuracy. The position requires physical work, safety-conscious performance, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years forklift experience.
• 2 years’ experience pulling orders in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds plus and maneuver heavy cases.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials safely and accurately.
• Maintain flow of materials to meet organizational needs.
• Assist in cycle counting and inventory accuracy checks.
• Operate hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment.
• Notify Inventory Control/Receiving when issues are found and document discrepancies.
• Support distribution team to complete material transfers on schedule.
