Job summary

Litehouse Foods is seeking a Material Handler II in Danville, VA, with a shift from 8:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The role includes operating forklifts, picking orders, and maintaining inventory using handheld scanners and internal systems.

You will ensure safe stacking and contribute to a clean, well-organized work area while supporting food safety standards. The position offers a starting hourly range of $19.97–$22.19 with shift differentials of $1.50/hr for 2nd shift and $3/hr for 3rd/D/C shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred (we'll provide certification if needed).
• Comfortable working in a cool, refrigerated environment.
• Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) to move, load, unload, and stack materials
• Pick and stack customer orders and receive vendor shipments accurately and safely
• Maintain precise inventory records using handheld scanners and internal systems
• Ensure proper stacking patterns and pallet configurations to meet quality and safety standards
• Keep workspaces clean and organized through regular housekeeping duties
• Uphold and follow Food Safety and Quality policies at all times
• Work overtime and weekends as required
