Penumbra, Inc. in Alameda, California, is seeking a detail-oriented material handler to maintain logs, manage Kanban inventory, and process daily material issues and returns.

You will locate and label inventory, verify materials against production orders, and operate pallet jacks and hand trucks while maintaining a safe workspace. The role supports manufacturing by processing requests, ensuring traceability, and adhering to the Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED with 1+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Computer experience
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices helpful
• Satisfactory completion of background check
• Ability to work day shift hours of 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

Responsabilités

• Maintains accurate logs, files and computer systems for material receipts, issues, returns and Lot control.
• Maintains inventory levels in Kanban and reconciles shortages or overages.
• Processes daily material issues and returns
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders
• Monitor and maintain Kanban inventory levels in designated production areas
• Perform material transactions using ERP/MRP system or paper forms
• Maintain a clean, safe work area
• Escalate issues to supervisor for resolution
• Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks)
• Follow all safety rules and guidelines
• Assist with various projects as assigned by supervisor
• Process material requests to support manufacturing
• Rotate jobs to be cross trained
• Issue materials to production floor and maintain traceability
• Adhere to QMS and regulatory requirements
• Ensure department follows QMS, regulations and procedures
• Regular onsite attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned
