Job summary

Stryker is seeking a reliable fabrication operator for 1st shift in Portage, MI. You will produce high quality parts using multiple fabrication tools, and manage loading/unloading duties, inspection tasks and routine maintenance to ensure smooth production flow.

You will follow policies to meet quality standards, keep precise records, and strive for reliability while completing scheduled overtime, including weekends. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in a fab shop or assembly environment preferred.
• Diligence in following procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality fabricated parts using various fabrication equipment.
• Operate as a loader/unloader or on drill press, weld nut, saw and other basic fabrication equipment.
• Perform inspections per gage plans and operate inspection equipment as needed.
• Set up, prep, fabricate, clean up and perform preventative maintenance on machine centers.

• Conducts inspections in accordance with relevant gage plans with a working knowledge of how to operate required inspection equipment and troubleshoots as needed
• Responsible for set-up, work preparation, fabrication, clean up, preventative maintenance of machine center, and quality assurance of own work and work area
• Assures compliance with policies and procedures, customer service goals, and quality standards while meeting production goals
• Accountable for all record-keeping as appropriate and in accordance with Stryker specifications
• Committed to quality by striving for reliability and quality in our products, continuously searching for ways to enhance performance and meeting all training and documentation criteria.
