Job summary

Schwan's Company in Pasadena, TX is hiring a full-time Material Handler to move materials through the facility using carts, pallet jacks, and conveyors.

You will stack pallets, perform routine audits, and assist with load sheets, with 0–2 years' related experience and the ability to work in subzero temperatures for up to 8 hours daily; high school diploma preferred. Competitive pay with weekly Friday pay and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and supplies through the facility using handling equipment.

• Count quantities of product and conduct intermediate audits.
• Perform other duties including general maintenance and load sheet processing.

Starting Pay: $16.50 per hour

Additional $1.50 shift differential from 6 p.m. -- 6 a.m.

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6 am - 4 pm

What You Will Do

• Moving materials and supplies through the facility, which may require the use of material handling equipment such as carts, conveyer belts, and pallet jacks.
• Stacking skids or pallets in designated areas and cleaning and disposing of scrap bracing cardboard and strapping.
• Placing items in proper containers or designated areas.
• Using lists to determine and count quantities of product moving throughout the facility and conducting intermediate material audits.
• Other duties as assigned (such as general maintenance work around the facility and processing of load sheets).

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 2 years related experience.
• Must be able to work in freezers with subzero temperatures for 4-8 hours per day and stand up to 8 hours.
