Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a dedicated production worker for a full-time, first-shift role in a food manufacturing environment. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement as the company grows and brands like Red Baron, Tony's, Freschetta, Mrs.

Smith's, Edwards, bibigo, and Pagoda expand. Responsibilities include unpacking materials, mixing ingredients, assembling products, packaging, and ensuring quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–1 years of experience minimum.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity and repetitive hand/arm movements.
• Able to adapt to rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products and package finished goods.
• Ensure products meet company and government quality standards from start to finish.
• Inspect products and address waste as directed; document quantities.
• Notify supervisor of quality, ingredient, or equipment issues; assist with GMP and safety compliance.

What You Will Do:

• Unpack raw materials, mix ingredients, assemble products, and package finished goods.
• Ensure that all products (from raw materials to finished products) meet company and government quality standards.
• Inspect products; throwing out or fixing products as necessary; writing down amount of waste as directed.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues, ingredient/material problems and/or equipment breakdowns.
• Perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, OSHA, State, Federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures (including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP\'s) and safety regulations).

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 1 years of experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods on concrete floors.
• Strong manual dexterity; capable of performing repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions.
• Be adaptable to rotating schedules, including weekends and overtime as needed.
