JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Material Handler participates in the execution of warehouse operations in an industrial work environment. To successfully perform these tasks, it requires a high level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.

Essential Functions:

  1. Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure compliance with company's rules and policies.
  2. Comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
  3. Understand and comply with applicable standards (i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
  4. Maintain and safeguard business records.

Additional Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Participates in daily cycle counting of parts in the warehouse.
  2. Operates a computer and/or RF scanner to pick and/or put away material in the Kardex/Modula. Also, a manual/electric pallet jack to move around material.
  3. Helps with opening boxes and counting material in the receiving area.
  4. Helps with packaging of shipping goods in small and large packs when needed.
  5. Must be willing to work overtime and alternate shifts determined by changes in workload demand.
  6. Provide support and assistance to other technicians and team members, as directed, and any other duties as assigned by the Cell Leader or Sr. Personnel.
  7. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure compliance with the company's rules and policies.
  8. Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.

Required Education:

High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience:

  • Office Environment, including use of computer terminal
  • Primarily operates in a climate-controlled, shop floor production environment
  • Employee may be exposed to noise, heat, cold, dust, and dirt.
  • Outdoor work occasionally

Physical Demands:

Sitting, Standing, Walking, Alternate Sitting or Standing at Will, Crouching, Pushing or Pulling, Stooping, Reaching overhead, Kneeling, Lifting or Carrying maximum weight required to lift or carry 50 lbs.

The base pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The company reasonably expects to pay within that range; however, Knorr Brake Company considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
