Summary

Transport materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas. Load and unload materials from vehicles and containers. Handle a variety of materials according to company standards, avoiding damage or soiling donations. Secure materials during transport. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Part-time positions may be available. Must pass background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide outstanding customer service.
2. Adhere to company directives, rules, policies, procedures, and standards.
3. Load, unload, and move materials within the plant, yard, or work site, including sorting, storing, and processing donations.
4. Transport items between workstations, store, and storage areas.
5. Read work orders or follow oral instructions to move materials or containers.
6. Safely load and unload materials onto/from pallets, carts, or vehicles using manual or mechanical assistance.
7. Sort and organize donations by category, ensuring items are kept together and donations are not damaged.
8. Lift heavy objects safely using appropriate devices or assistance.
9. Assist in loading and unloading cargo trucks, including moving items by hand and using equipment.
10. Work flexible hours, including weekends, with availability for any 5 days between Monday and Sunday, and occasional overtime.
11. Transport processed donations to the appropriate department, possibly using the freight elevator.
12. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and transfer trash as needed.
13. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure safety of personnel and property.
14. Collaborate with Workforce Development and Social Services to provide client services.
15. Properly wear and maintain PPE.
16. Maintain confidentiality of agency information.
17. Other duties as assigned.
