Description

Position Summary

Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in receiving, storing, shipping, packaging, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, returned products, and finished goods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Pick sales orders and production jobs.
  2. Responsible for inventory transaction entries.
  3. Ensure proper labels are used and correctly marked.
  4. Assist with inventory control.
  5. Utilize basic stocking processes to put away finished goods and raw materials.
  6. Use proper techniques for packaging sales orders.
  7. Identify consolidation potential to maximize warehouse space.
  8. Perform all work assignments with proper material handling techniques, following quality standards and safety precautions.
  9. Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck to move materials around the warehouse.
  10. Assist with regular clean-up duties as needed.
  11. Adapt and accept changes based on production demands and schedules.
  12. May be responsible for other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School diploma or GED is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
  • Forklift experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience using an RF Gun is a bonus.
  • Experience working with ERP systems is helpful.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Language and People Skills

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic English speaking, reading, and writing skills are required.

Computer Skills

  • Experience using computers, email, and internet preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit or stand, and manipulate small components with hands.
  • Frequently reach with hands and arms; occasionally above shoulders or below knees.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 15 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Works in an open manufacturing environment. May work around equipment producing radiant heat, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and vibration. Noise levels are usually moderate but may occasionally be higher.
