Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Material Handler in Texas who identifies and locates production materials and moves them to the lines using forklifts, carts, and manual methods. This role may require driving on public roads and meeting state licensing requirements.

You will read orders, sign for materials, perform basic inventory math, and communicate via two-way radios. Training is provided, and the environment can be loud with PPE required on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Basic reading, writing, & verbal skills.
• Experience and education are a plus; however, it's not required. Training will be provided.

Experience and education are a plus; however, it's not required. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you'll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

Physical Demands

As an Material Handler, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls for the entirety of their shift. The employee needs full range of motion in arms and hands, all Material Handlers must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some employees also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.
