Job summary

FedEx is seeking a dependable operations associate to safely operate equipment used for moving packages and documents. You will assist with pallet buildup/breakdown of heavyweight freight and act as a liaison with the ULD repair vendor as required.

Strong ability to lift heavy items, work in all weather, and communicate in a noisy environment is essential. Successful completion of required training is expected for continued employment.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 50 lbs from ground to chest level.
• Walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Move packages above shoulder level using appropriate equipment.
• Climb stairs and ladders if required.
• Communicate effectively in a noisy operations environment.
• Successfully complete all basic and recurrency training.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs.
• Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between FedEx and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
