Job summary

Ash Grove Cement is seeking a Material Handler/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in a fast-paced cement plant environment in Washington. The role involves operating a front-end loader on barges, loading and unloading material, and maintaining equipment safety and performance.

You will work with dump trucks, forklifts, and other heavy gear, performing inspections, basic maintenance, and assisting in production operations as required.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
• Willingness to learn; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loader on barges for off-loading raw materials.
• Load equipment onto barges and manage unloading of barge cargo.
• Operate dump trucks, forklifts, man-lift and other heavy equipment to move materials within the plant.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Assist with other departments as needed and support safety procedures.
