Job summary

Quanex Building Products Corporation in Allentown, PA is seeking a Material Handler to move, replenish and ensure material availability across production areas. The role involves operating forklifts and pallet jacks, with hours Monday–Friday 6am–2:30pm.

Responsibilities include transporting materials, monitoring stock, communicating shortages, and supporting shipping, receiving and warehouse activities while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience driving electric and/or forklifts.
• Experience using inventory management systems, scanners or ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to perform physical functions of job (lifting of at least 50 lbs repetitively).
• Forklift Certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Transports raw materials, supplies and finished goods throughout the production floor.
• Monitors inventory levels at production lines to ensure material availability.
• Replenish materials and supplies in accordance with production schedules and operational requirements.
• Communicate material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and supply concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other equipment as authorized.
• Support shipping, receiving, warehouse and logistics activities as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
