Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking a motivated Material Handler to support all warehouse activities, including material storage, labeling, and distribution to production lines. The role involves operating material handling equipment and maintaining a clean dock area.

A forklift license is required to comply with OSHA standards and to safely move parts. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 60 pounds, wear steel-toe footwear, and perform cross-functional tasks such as shipping, receiving, and

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to wear steel-toe footwear.
  • Must be physically capable of walking for an eight-hour shift.
  • Forklift license per OSHA requirements (as applicable)

Responsibilities

  • Provide necessary product and material to production departments as needed.
  • Weigh and label product as needed.
  • Return product to proper storage locations per KanBan system.
  • Shrink wrap finished parts and place in proper storage location.
  • Remove KanBans from empty purchased product containers and place on proper KanBan board.
  • Cross-train in other warehouse functions and perform those functions when necessary.
  • Perform housekeeping activities for warehouse and dock area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
