Job summary

Summit-Polymers- in Portage, MI, is seeking a warehouse associate responsible for material handling, storage, and dock area housekeeping. You will operate forklift equipment, weigh and label products, and place items in KanBan storage locations to support production.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and willingness to obtain a forklift license per OSHA. Cross-training in related warehouse tasks is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to obtain a forklift license per OSHA requirements.
• Physical stamina and the ability to walk for an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and wear steel-toe footwear.

Responsibilities

• Provide necessary product and material to production departments as needed.
• Weigh and label product as needed.
• Return product to proper storage locations per KanBan system.
• Shrink wrap finished parts and place in proper storage location.
• Remove KanBans from empty purchased product containers and place on proper KanBan board.
• Cross-train in other warehouse functions and perform those functions when necessary.
• Perform housekeeping activities for warehouse and dock area.
• Other duties as assigned.
