Job summary

J&L Building Materials is seeking a Material Handler at our Landisville, PA branch to support branch operations. You will prepare customer orders, load materials onto pallets or vehicles, operate forklift trucks, and ensure accurate inventory and safety adherence.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year warehouse experience, and the ability to lift 100 pounds. We offer comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with company match after six months, paid time off, and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, at least one year warehouse experience, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.
• Preferred: strong attention to detail, exceptional customer service, basic math skills, forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer satisfaction and service.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and load onto pallets or vehicles.
• Operate forklift to load/unload and transport materials; perform pre-operational checks.
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves or bins according to type and code, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
• Complete paperwork accurately and promptly.
