Job summary

J&L Building Materials in Douglassville, PA is seeking a Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations, prepare loads for on-site and off-site deliveries, and uphold safety and accuracy in everything you handle.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of warehouse experience, ability to lift 100 pounds, and forklift operation. Starting rate is $18.50 per hour with full benefits and a 40-hour workweek; weekend shifts may be required after training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1 year warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.
• Ability to read safety rules, customer tickets, and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and service.
• Fill customer material requests in-person and for on-site deliveries.
• Operate forklift trucks and perform pre-operational checks.
• Sort and place materials on racks or bins by size, type, color, or product code with proper storage and rotation.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Maintain safe and efficient warehouse operations by following safety requirements.
• Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts with emphasis on product identification and accuracy.
• Demonstrate proper care of company equipment and vehicles.
• Be on time and ready to work for 40 hours per week and be available for Saturday shifts after training.
• Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
