Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Material Handler to operate and support a range of equipment and material movements at our Lafayette, IN location. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time delivery while maintaining inventory accuracy and productive workflow.

Training will be provided for heavy vehicle operation and site procedures. Candidates should be able to pass a drug screen and PIV training, with basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass PIV (power industrial vehicle) training.
• Basic reading, writing, math, & verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Owning and helping improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
• Maintaining and reporting daily receiving and shipping activities.
• Reporting defects and needs for repairs.
• Keeping lines stocked with the proper materials.
• Performing additional work as assigned by the supervisor or coordinator.
• Wearing approved PPE such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
• Completing assigned duties in accordance with safety, policies, and practices, including your individual safety and the safety of co-workers.
