Job summary

Wabash is seeking a material handler to support receiving, storage, and shipping of parts, materials, tools, and equipment on the production floor. Training will be provided for heavy machinery and safety procedures, with opportunities to assist in multiple departments as needed.

The role emphasizes maintaining safety, quality, and delivery metrics while keeping lines stocked and ensuring accurate reporting of activities. Prioritize PPE and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass PIV (power industrial vehicle) training.
• Basic reading, writing, math, & verbal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Owning and helping improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery.
• Maintaining and reporting daily receiving and shipping activities.
• Reporting defects and needs for repairs.
• Keeping lines stocked with the proper materials.
• Performing additional work as assigned by the supervisor or coordinator, which may require the employee to assist in different departments.
• Wearing approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
• Completing assigned duties in accordance with safety, policies, and practices, including your individual safety, as well as the safety of co-workers, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace.
