Olympic Steel is seeking a Material Handler to support production at our Gary, Indiana facility. You will move work-in-progress material, stage finished goods, receive raw materials, and prepare paperwork; scrap parts handling and forklift operation are required.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and a self-motivated, team‑oriented attitude. Forklift experience is preferred and overhead crane experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proper use and care of precision instruments.

• Self-motivated with ability to work under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Move work-in-progress material on the production floor.
• Stage finished goods for shipment and staging.
• Assist in raw material receiving and preparation.
• Prepare paperwork for materials on the floor.
• Handle scrap parts and operate a forklift.
• Use handheld plasma and other warehouse equipment as needed.
