Job summary

BlueLinx is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator for our Minnesota distribution center. You will operate a forklift to move building materials, load/unload trailers, and ensure safe handling of products in a team-oriented environment.

The role includes paperwork, daily equipment inspections, inventory support, and maintaining a clean work area. Competitive wage is offered with a full benefits package and on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift to transport products.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to work independently at times under pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to read and comprehend sales orders and safety materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with safety guidelines.
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars with minimal damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping of products.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the area.
• Assist in periodic inventory counts.
