Job summary

Carlisle Architectural Metals (CAM) in Elk Grove Village, IL is hiring Material Handlers to move materials, inspect finished goods, and support production lines. The role is onsite with a standard 40-hour workweek and occasional overtime; no travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections.
• Record maintenance data and production metrics.
• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift to move materials.
• Visually inspect material for defects and notify supervisor.
• Fill dumpsters; keep plant clean and organized.
• Assist production and shipping to follow Standard Works.
• Support recycling/scrap area and stay organized.
• Fill in on other plant areas as needed.
• Assist other forklift operators as needed.
