Carlisle Architectural Metals (CAM) in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator. The role supports production by moving materials, organizing the warehouse, and supplying raw materials to lines. 40-hour weeks with occasional overtime; no travel; onsite at 1005 Tonne Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.

Hourly rate listed as $25.64 with a $1,500 sign-on bonus paid in installments. Benefits include medical/dental/vision from day one, 401k with match, paid holidays,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-shift forklift inspections.
• Record preventative maintenance activities and key metrics; perform calculations as needed.
• Safely operate a propane sit-down forklift to move materials and products within the plant.
• Visually inspect materials for defects and segregate defective items.
• Perform housekeeping and keep production areas clean and organized.
• Collaborate with production and shipping teams to follow standard processes and improve operations.
• Support recycling/scrap areas and assist other plant areas as needed.
• Assist other forklift operators when required; perform other duties as assigned.
