Job summary

Eastern Metal Supply, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Forklift experience is a plus; work is Monday–Friday on site in Indiana. We foster a drug-free workplace and OSHA-compliant safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
• Must have strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Move materials to shipping, production, or designated areas.
• Sort materials on racks by size, type, or product code.
• Restock materials and fulfill requisitions.
• Stack, package, and prepare materials for shipment or pickup.
• Measure and package materials per order specs.
• Maintain accurate Material Movement paperwork.
• Open boxes, crates, and containers as needed.
• Operate forklift inspections and report issues.
• Load delivery trucks for next-day deliveries.
• Inspect inventory for damage and report findings.
• Assist with periodic physical inventory.
• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Comply with policies and OSHA safety regulations.
• Participate in safety meetings and PPE usage.
• Perform facilities maintenance as needed.
• Other duties as required.
