Job summary

B&H is seeking an Experienced Material Handler to move, pick, store, scan, count, and prepare merchandise for shipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The role requires operating a sit-down forklift andElectric Pallet Jack, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Applicants should have at least 1 year of forklift and pallet jack experience, strong counting ability, and the stamina to stand for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50lbs independently and up to 80lbs with assistance.
• Extended periods of standing/walking (10+ hours).
• Attention to detail and ability to count.
• Must locate and identify specific items.
• Must be able to use a hand scanner to enter data in a computer system.
• Must be able to manually pack and seal boxes following standard procedures.
• Must have at least 1 year of Sit-down Forklift experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of Electric Pallet Jack experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate Electric Pallet Jack and Sit-down Forklift to move pallets and put away items in assigned warehouse locations.
• Load or package boxes and crates for shipping while ensuring accuracy of contents
• Assist with packing materials distribution and disposal of empty boxes
• Stock items in assigned locations within the warehouse and take part in the inventory count process
• Accurately pick merchandise from existing stock to fill customer’s orders
• Unpack boxes following standard procedures
• As assigned by the manager
