Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Hodges, SC is seeking a Material Handler on the 1st shift to move materials safely and support productivity in the Low Voltage Assemblies area. You will operate forklifts, verify deliveries, perform cycle counts in the MRP system, and collaborate with team members to meet daily targets while complying with safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience operating a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck).
• No immigration sponsorship or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT support offered for this position.
• Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve goods, supplies, and materials efficiently.
• Ensure all forklift operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they remain in optimal working condition.
• Use radio or other communication tools to coordinate with team members and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and method sheets.
• Verify the accuracy of deliveries and inspect materials for any damage.
• Perform inventory transactions through the MRP system accurately and promptly.
• Conduct cycle count transactions as required.
• Safely transport materials throughout the facility.
• Safely load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves.
• Dispose of scrap materials (excluding metals) according to procedures.
• Comply with all safety policies/procedures and WSRA's.
• Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks of other positions as needed.
