Job summary

Eaton in Sumter, SC is seeking a Material Handler - B-shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00 pm–1:00 am) to support Shipping and production. The role involves cycle counts, material handling, and ensuring timely delivery of components to manufacturing lines.

The position requires forklift/crane operation experience, knowledge of materials planning and shipping systems, and a high school diploma. Local residency within 50 miles and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

Forklift/crane operation experience in material handling.
Knowledge of materials planning, scheduling, receiving, shipping and tracking systems.
High school diploma or GED required.
Must reside within 50 miles of Sumter, SC.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and cranes to transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas.
Receive, document, store, and issue all job-related material to satisfy production requirements.
Support assembly and fabrication requirements for materials as needed.
Package, create and band equipment, parts, materials, products and accessories to minimize damage during shipment or staging.
Apply labels, stickers, stencils as required for identification and ease of storage or shipping.
Comply with safety and industrial hygiene requirements and perform 5S-focused housekeeping.
