Job summary

Qualifications

• High school degree or 1-3 years of related experience required or equivalent.
• Basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Computer skills, including ERP systems experience, preferred.
• Basic knowledge of inventory practices, processes and procedures preferred.
• Previous forklift certification and experience required.
• Self-starter with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Team player with problem-solving and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or using order picker, stand up forklift and forklift.
• Loads materials into vehicles and secures them to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Conveys materials from storage to designated area.
• Secures materials from storage to designated area.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units moved to stock requisition or Kanban.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands.
• Drives industrial lift trucks, electric carts, etc.
• Assembles crates or boxes to contain products such as machines or vehicles.
• Cleans work area, spills, and equipment as required.
