Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Material Handler to operate onsite in Portage, NY, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2:00pm to 10:30pm and potential Saturday overtime. You will move, track, and ship materials, operate forklifts, and enter data into the inventory system, while ensuring accurate records and documentation.

Preferred candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and prior manufacturing experience, plus forklift operation skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Ability to operate common material handling equipment and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain flow of materials in manufacturing areas.
• Record movement of incoming and outgoing materials and supplies.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklift.
• Unpack and check goods against orders or invoices.
• Maintain records of received goods and inspections.
• Prepare and maintain records of items shipped and documentation.
• Enter information into the inventory management system.
• May train others in distribution tasks.
• Work from engineering drawings and follow assembly/packaging instructions.
• Operate computer-related programs.
