Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Material Handler to support manufacturing operations in Portage, MI. You will manage the flow of materials and products, unload shipments, and operate material handling equipment while recording movements in the inventory system.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, forklift operation experience, and general computer skills. Work is Monday–Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm with overtime on Saturdays; pay is $20.75 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential, plus bonus potential

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior manufacturing or related experience preferred.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle and maintain flow of materials in manufacturing areas.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklift, hand truck, scales).
• Unpack and check goods against orders or invoices.
• Maintain records of received goods and alert for inspection of unsatisfactory items.
• Enter information into inventory management system.
• May train others in distribution tasks.
• Follow documented assembly/packaging instructions.
• Work from engineering drawings as needed.
