Job summary

Insteel Industries, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler/Laborer to move raw materials and finished products within the warehouse using forklift tractors and cranes.

The role emphasizes safety to achieve ZERO HARM and requires maintaining neat work areas and accurate computer entries for inventory and cycle counts. Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least two years of forklift/crane experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass operator certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; ability to perform simple arithmetic and understand instructions.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ forklift and crane operational experience in heavy material handling.
• Equivalent education/experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and cranes to move materials within the warehouse.
• Use spreader bar attachment to handle various materials.
• Move completed materials from machine conveyors to staging areas using propane or diesel forklift tractors.
