Insteel Industries is seeking a Material Handler for our shipping department in the United States. The role moves materials in shipping areas using electric, gas, propane, or diesel forklifts and overhead cranes, with emphasis on accuracy and safety to support production and shipping.
Requirements include a minimum of two years of forklift and crane operation experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, basic arithmetic, and the ability to obtain an in-house overhead crane certification.

The person we are looking for is driven, motivated, and has a strong attention to detail. You must have previous heavy equipment and large forklift (30,000 - 35,000 lbs) experience and inventory count experience. You are a valuable member of the team and a key player in the success of the business.
A Material Handler is commonly expected to know how to make inventory transfers in computer, and will move materials (such as raw materials, finished product, etc.) in shipping areas using electric, gas, propane, or diesel forklift tractor, and various overhead and lifting cranes. Works daily to ensure assigned areas of responsibility are working with risk lowered to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) specifically in an effort to achieve ZERO HARM so no injuries, illness or negative impact occurs to employees, property, the environment or the community.
