Job summary

Chicago Tube and Iron Company in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations, load and unload materials, and prepare orders for shipment. The role requires basic math and measurement skills, with on-the-job training provided.

1st Shift - Monday to Thursday 6:00AM-3:30PM and Friday 7:00AM-11:00PM; benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus a 401(k) plan and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Basic math and measuring skills are required.
• On-the-job training will be provided by the Plant Manager.
• Experience in steel distribution is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, side loading forklift, and overhead crane to move material in the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks using handling equipment, place materials in storage locations.
• May operate saw, or other equipment to process, package, and load.
• May receive/inspect and verify material count.
