Job summary

Chicago Tube and Iron Company in Owatonna, MN is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations, load and unload materials, and prepare orders for shipment. The role requires basic math and measurement skills, with on-the-job training provided.

Responsible for loading and unloading material within a warehouse operation, which includes pulling orders together and assembling them for shipment to customers. JOB DUTIES

• Operate forklift, side loading forklift, and overhead crane to move material in the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks using handling equipment, places materials in storage locations.
• May operate saw, or other equipment to process, package, and load.
• May receive/inspect and verify material count.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Basic math and measuring skills are a must. Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, side loaders, saws, banding, and/or order packing is preferred. On the job training will be provided by the Plant Manager. Experience in the steel distribution industry is highly preferred, but not required.
