Job summary

Johnstone Supply LLC is seeking a Material Handler I to support receiving, stocking, and shipping of HVACR products at our Fort Wayne site. You will operate powered equipment, assist with inventory control, and ensure accurate documentation for each shipment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with 0–1 year of related experience. Forklift certification is required or willing to obtain on the job. English proficiency is essential for safety and communication on the floor.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, 0–1 year related experience or training.
Must be able to read, add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
English proficiency is a core requirement for safety and communication.

Responsibilities

Operate power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) safely to locate and move products.
Receive products by unloading trucks and using material handling tools.
Inspect shipments for damage and verify quantities against packing lists.
Scan products, print labels, and resolve labeling discrepancies.
Pack, label, and ship orders while maintaining accuracy and minimizing damage.
Provide documentation for shipments and hazardous materials as required.
Participate in inventory counts and uphold SOPs.
Maintain a safe work environment and report safety concerns promptly.
