Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Material Handler - Assembly to load/unload trucks, warehouse materials, and supply production lines. The role requires forklift operation, RF scanning, and accurate paperwork, with overtime and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members.
• Perform basic math functions.
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect forklift daily at the start of the shift and document inspection.
• Safely operate forklift and move materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks; warehouse products and materials.
• Use an RF scanner for receipts, issues to lines, returns, and bar code locations.
• Verify counts, quantities and descriptions of products and materials received, shipped or warehoused.
• Service production lines by delivering product and components as requested.
• Complete paperwork accurately for movement of product and materials.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and perform regular inventory and cycle counts.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies; assist other departments as needed.
