Job summary

Douglas Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support fabrication, welding, and assembly cells by stocking parts, replenishing finished goods, and coordinating with Buyers and Planners. The role emphasizes 5S, safety, and efficient material flow to meet production schedules.

Starting pay is $19.00 per hour. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and obtain forklift and aerial lift licenses as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds.
• Familiarity with 5S and safety procedures.
• Willingness to obtain/maintain forklift and aerial lift licenses.

Responsibilities

• Stock FIFO and kitted carts with parts per production schedule.
• Restock parts in the finished parts supermarket.
• Maintain finished parts supermarkets and organize.
• Coordinate replenishment to support production needs.
• Operate hi-lo forklift as needed to move, stock, or replenish materials.
• Adhere to 5S and safety regulations.
• Communicate shortages with Buyer/Planner.
• Collaborate with team and participate in training.
• Report packaging problems and nonconformances.
