Material Handler - Fork Lift Driver 2nd shift

We are currently looking for a Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate meets safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards. The Material Handler interacts with other departments to achieve the company’s core strategies and moves products to accommodate production.

Responsibilities:

1. Read and understand Job Tickets and layouts to produce the correct product of the highest quality.
2. Understand and execute plans and schedules in an accurate and prompt manner to effectively maximize throughput.
3. Work closely with all associates to coordinate the workflow.
4. Maintain performance metrics at or above the company standard.
5. Complete required documentation accurately and promptly.
6. Safely operate material handling equipment.
7. Assist in maintaining equipment for optimal operation, including adjustments and preventative maintenance.
8. Enter information correctly into systems for job tracking and payroll.
9. Dispose of waste materials into proper storage containers, marking and identifying containers with required documentation.
10. Comply with established safety policies, procedures, and other regulations (e.g., GMP, HACCP, BRC).
11. Interact and behave professionally, treating all associates respectfully and maintaining the company’s code of ethics.
12. Maintain daily housekeeping efforts.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent, with training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
2. Ability to operate material handling equipment; forklift experience required.
3. Basic math and reading skills.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Physical demands include standing, using hands to feel and touch, reaching with arms and hands, talking, and hearing.
6. Frequent walking required.
7. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
8. Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
9. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
10. Knowledge of inventory control and shipping/receiving activities is a plus.
