Valmont Industries in McCook, Nebraska is looking for a dedicated Material Handler 2 to move materials within manufacturing areas and maintain organized storage under inventory procedures. The role requires attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency to keep production flowing.

You will load/unload, assist with cycle counts, verify inventory, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant environment. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and obtain certification.
• Ability to operate hand and banding tools.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, comprehend and interpret work instructions, drawings, and/or blueprints.
• Ability to use a tape measure and gauges to measure parts and materials.
• Ability to log inventory transactions and work overtime when required.
• Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Supply manufacturing workstations with materials from storage inventory locations.
• Locate and gather parts.
• Place materials in their proper storage inventory location.
• Write part descriptions and quantity on outer boxes, as needed.
• Receive incoming material shipments and unload trucks.
• Report material damages and shortages to supervision and managers.
• Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Operate overhead cranes and PPE as required in Galvanizing or Welding areas.
