Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Storeroom Attendant in Valley, Nebraska to oversee the receiving, issuing, and movement of material across the plant under the guidance of the Department Supervisor.

The role focuses on inventory accuracy, vendor and in-process plate intake, and issuing material to manufacturing and outside sources. The position requires ability to read blueprints, pass a forklift test, and ensure timely, high-quality results while maintaining safety and housekeeping

Qualifications

• Read and decipher blueprints, specifications, and bill of materials.
• Ability to pass forklift driver’s test.
• Prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Perform basic arithmetic such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Work through practical problems to deliver results.
• Work timely and expeditiously to deliver high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Audits storeroom operations and reports results to the supervisor.
• Provides pertinent information for the dispatcher, leads, and supervisor for continuity.
• Maintains housekeeping and safety in the storeroom area.
• May be required to work irregular hours.
